  Assignment (computer science) Summary
Common representations of the assignment operator include an equals sign ("="), ":=", or a left-arrow; this last is less common in modern languages as this character is not available on most standard keyboard layouts.
Whereas assignment is an operation which alters the value of a variable, equivalence is an expression which tests whether two variables or expressions evaluate to the same value.
In many languages, the assignment operator is a single equals sign ("=") while the equivalence operator is a pair of equals signs ("=="), but this is far from universal; indeed some languages, such as BASIC, use a single equals sign for both, determining which is meant based on context.

Common representations of the assignment operator include an equals sign ("="), ":=", or a left-arrow; this last is less common in modern languages as this character is not available on most standard keyboard layouts.
A common error regarding the assignment operation is when programmers confuse it with the equivalence expression, readily associated with the mathematical use of "=" to mean equality.

Value (computer science) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In computer science, a value may be a number, literal string, array and anything that can be treated as if it were a number.
In other words, label, subprogram, datatype, inheritance and control flow are not values in general.
The use of a term value is useful in clarifying the exact meaning of assignments, copying, and comparison of objects.

If the marker can not easily read your assignment, he or she is under no obligation to mark it.
Assignments must be submitted in a flat cardboard folder.
That is, when the marker opens up your folder, he or she should see the solution and output for question 1, followed by solution and output for question 2, and so on.

I don't see a problem with that (I doubt the marker will be around to get the assignments from the drop box at midnight on Sunday anyway), however you should double check this with Jason.
But, Assignment 4 is not so self-explanatory and seems to have more to it, I see something about a chart and counting iterations in the comments.
