Suppose that a young man, seeking help for a psychological condition that was associated with serious health risk and made him desperately unhappy were to be told by the professional he consulted that no treatment is available, that his condition is permanent and genetically based, and that he must learn to live with it.
The genital relations of those few who do live together for a long time are usually absent or minimal so that the ongoing commitment is more aptly described as a celibate friendship than a marriage.
Genital behavior between friends is not healthy for either heterosexuals or homosexuals; it eventually destroys the friendship.

The Association will host four workshops on the role of women in the peace process, a conference on peace and civic education for students and teachers, a multimedia campaign on regional human rights issues and monthly literacy trainings for women.
The Association will conduct a series of trainings in Beledweyn, the capital of Hiran region, and Mogadishu for women, elders, intellectuals, youth, artists and religious leaders on women's rights, violence against women, girls' education, female genital mutilation, democracy and good governance.
The Babiker Badri Association will conduct workshops on democratic concepts and good governance for journalists, political parties, youth and NGO activists; continue Publicationof its Women magazine; organize seminars on post-conflict collaboration and conduct research on violence against women.

DeMeo (1989) says geographical patterns of global distributions of the male and female genital mutilations among native, non-Western peoples, along with history and archaeology, suggest their genesis in the deserts of Northeast Africa and the near East, with a subsequent diffusion outward into sub-Saharan, Oceania and possibly even into parts of the New World.
