Strict Baptists represent the strain of Particular Baptists that stayed on the "hyper-Calvinistic" course, maintained the practice of strict or closed communion, and remained aloof from the Baptist Union of 1813.
The Grace Baptist Assembly churches represent a modification of Strict Baptists close to the "Fullerism" of the 18th century.
These churches additionally meet together in three regional associations - Association of Grace Baptist Churches (East Anglia), Association of Grace Baptist Churches (East Midlands), Association of Grace Baptist Churches (South East) - and one fellowship - the Fellowship of Northern Particular Baptist Churches.

The holiness movement among Baptists in south Georgia began late in the 19th century in Wilcox County among ministers in the Little River Baptist Association.
At the annual session of the association in 1893, fellowship was withdrawn from two churches "because of their doctrine of holiness or carnal perfection".
In 1934, the Baptist Purity Association was formed by members excluded from the Holiness Baptist Association for teaching and practicing the substitution of water for grape juice in the Lord's supper.

The objects of the Association are to promote the unity and prosperity of associated churches and to devise and employ means for the furtherance of the Gospel in London, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Sussex.
A Church wishing to join the Association and sending a written application to that effect stating its agreement with the Doctrinal Basis and Rules, shall be received into membership on the favourable vote of at least three-fourths of the persons present and voting at a business meeting of the Association.

The Gulf Coast Baptist Association is a "family" of 71 Southern Baptist churches and missions in Brazoria County, Texas.

He was actively involved with other Grace Baptist churches in the area, particularly in the District Prayer Meetings, had been the South East District secretary since 1996, and served on the main Association Committee since 1995.

On Saturday 21 April 2001, a congregation of some 300 gathered with Salem Baptist Church, Ramsey, Cambridgeshire, for the ordination and induction of R. Jeremy Brooks as their pastor.
Kenneth Howard, a former pastor in the local Association of Grace Baptist Churches (East Midlands) and now an elder of Salem, led the first part of the service, and Jeremy’s father-in-law, Pastor Malcolm Watts of Salisbury, read the Scriptures and prayed.
Statements were made by the Church Secretary, Bob Blackman, on behalf of the calling church, Jeremy’s father, Pastor Richard Brooks of York, on behalf of the sending church, and the pastor-elect himself.
