EAQUALS is an association of providers of language services, founded in 1991, with over 100 members in over 20 different countries.

Administrative constraints imposed on language testers can result in unfairness when test raters and markers are under pressure to render a hasty rating because of insufficient time for the number of tests administered, because of conflicting schedules and/or professional demands being made on them, or because of lack of funds to adequately compensate them.
The group discussed the role of language varieties, or dialects, and the concept of "standard" language in the overall campaign for fairness.
