In Asterix the Gladiator the Centurion in charge of Compendium is Gracchus Armisurplus.
In Asterix and the Banquet, which follows immediately on from Gladitaor, the Centurion in charge is called Lotuseatas.
So Asterix the Gladiator was published in English in 1969 while Asterix and the Banquet wasn't published until ten years later.
