Most of the players are from around the Astley Bridge area.

One of his daughters, Karen, married Pete Townshend (for whom Ted Astley scored several pieces of music), and another of his daughters, Virginia, became a recording artist herself mainly in the English pastoral vein, enjoying a cult following largely on the basis of her 1983 album From Gardens Where We Feel Secure.
Astley's actual recorded output is quite sparse,a few singles and a couple of albums of the music from "The Saint" and "Danger Man" which were only available in the States until 1997 when he arranged for CDs to be issued in the UK.

Philip Astley (January 8, 1742 - January 27, 1814) is regarded as the father of modern (A genus of haws comprising the harriers) circus.
At the age of 9, he apprenticed to work with his father, but Astley's dream was to work with (Solid-hoofed herbivorous quadruped domesticated since prehistoric times) horses.
Astley's original circus was 62 feet in (The length of a straight line passing through the center of a circle and connecting two points on the circumference) diameter, and later he settled it at 42 feet, which has been an international standard for circuses since then.
