Astrodynamics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Astrodynamics is the study of the motion of rockets, missiles, and space vehicles, as determined from Sir Isaac Newton's laws of motion and his law of universal gravitation.
Astrodynamics is principally concerned with spacecraft trajectories, from launch to atmospheric re-entry, including all orbital maneuvers, orbit plane changes, and interplanetary transfers.
The fundamental laws of astrodynamics are Newton's law of universal gravitation and Newton's laws of motion, while the fundamental mathematical tool is his differential calculus.

Astrodynamics is an adventure that reaches beyond the boundaries of a typical astrological reading into a journey of healing, transformation and empowerment.
Your guide on this journey is Lynn (Monson) Hayes, who has been on her own healing journey since 1969, and has consulted in psychological and transformational astrology since 1983.
Telephone or emal sessions are available for those who live outside the Triangle area of North Carolina, and a sliding scale makes these sessions affordable.

Nevertheless, this is the best book to start learning astrodynamics, and gives a solid foundation from which to study more advanced texts.
Bate, Mueller and White's (BMW) Fundamentals of Astrodynamics was written initially for cadets at the US Air Force Academy to provide them with an overview of space dynamics, coordinate systems and orbital mechanics.
BMW is a good "guided tour" of the subject, but has weaknesses in areas such as the two-point boundary-value problem, and in the theory of perturbations.

 Topics in Astrodynamics
In the issue dated 11/05/2003 there is an article, "Topics in Astrodynamics and Kepler's Laws", that provides some further information about the book and its treatment of astrodynamics, satellite tracking, and space surveillance.
This new (as of April 14, 2004) pair of worksheets is not about astrodynamics per se, but rather, is about the connection between dynamical astronomy (i.e., Earth's rotational and orbital motions) and plant physiology.
It is believed that there is sufficient material in Topics in Astrodynamics for a two-semester course sequence, especially if some of the problems and computer projects are worked out in class.

The increased power of microcomputers has changed the study of perturbations perhaps more than any other subfield of astrodynamics, but students and practitioners still need a compendium of well-documented algorithms to use that power.
This book is really excellent book among all books about astrodynamics, they give us the details about how to solve problems step by step.
This is one of the most thorough, well-written, accessible texts on astrodynamics that I've seen.
