ASUR 3Q05 Passenger Traffic Down 4.82% YoY
Asur's management believes that the lower passenger traffic numbers to Cancun and Cozumel during the quarter were largely the result of the impact of Hurricane Emily in July 2005, which forced the closure of 5,153 and 500 hotel rooms in Cancun and Cozumel, respectively.
This mainly reflects the net payment of Ps.32.5 million in August in rent owed to ASUR by Dufry Mexico for units it occupies in Cancun airport, as mandated by the ruling of the International Court of Arbitration in favor of ASUR; and the Ps.9.9 million payment by Aldeasa owed to ASUR.

ASUR 2Q06 Passenger Traffic Down 4.05% YOY
ASUR's management believes that the 29.03% and 5.63% declines in total passenger traffic to Cozumel and Cancun respectively during the quarter were resulting from the decline in hotel infrastructure resulting from the impact of Hurricane Wilma, which struck the Yucatan Peninsula on October 20, 2005.
Commercial revenues declined year-over-year by 4.28%, mainly due to the decline in passenger traffic and the lack of revenue from leased spaces in Terminal 1 (the charter terminal) of Cancun Airport, which is currently not in operation as a result of damage inflicted by Hurricane Wilma in October 2005.
ASUR's regulated revenues for the first six-months of the year were Ps.806.43 million, resulting in an annual average tariff per work load unit of Ps.101.10.

ASUR++ is a notation that supports the description of the physical and digital entities that make up a mixed system, including the user(s), other artefacts, and the physical and informational relationships among them.
Each relation connected to the user defines a facet of the interaction, consisting of  (i) an ASUR component from which information is provided for the user or to which the user provides information, and (ii) an ASUR relation between the user and this component.
Given that these components are organised as collocated sets, an ASUR++ description will be based on the use of several of these sets, generating as many as necessary to characterise the system at the new scale.

ASUR Still Stalled [Fool.com: Motley Fool Take] July 11, 2006
I still believe ASUR shareholders will see a good rebound in the near future, which is one of the main reasons I recommended this stock for our recent international report Around the World in 80 Minutes.
Although I don't think either candidate, "leftist" Obrador or "center-right" Calderon, would have had much of an impact on ASUR's operations, the possibility of civil strife ought to be enough to keep some investors off guard.
If that pushes ASUR shares into the low $30s -- where I think they're a very good value -- investors may find themselves glad for the political circus, provided it doesn't last too long.
