Athalie worked as a national newspaper journalist for five years before she decided to retrain as a media lawyer and joined Carter-Ruck as a trainee in 2003.
During her training she assisted Mark Thomson to obtain an apology from the BBC for the actor Christopher Eccleston in respect of the publication of a false statement and was involved in securing a settlement and apology for Sandra Barwick, a former Daily Telegraph journalist, against the Evening Standard in a libel matter.
Athalie is a Council member of the Media Society, a charity which organises and hosts regular events to inform and update those involved in the media.

Athalie was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Brown Williams who died Nov. 16, 1961; a daughter, Elaine Kay Williams, on Feb. 12, 1957; and her parents, James Hiram and Alma (Gaines) Muse.
One of my fondest memories is back when I was a little girl and Athalie and her husband, Abie, gave me a girl and boy doll at Christmas one year.

The Athalie Richardson Irvine Clarke Wildflower Garden will be a showcase for nearly a dozen species of native wildflowers, including California poppies, arroyo lupines and baby blue eyes.
"The garden is a beautiful living tribute to Athalie Clarke and her extraordinary contributions to Orange County," Wilkening said.

She was born May 14, 1937, in Miami to Eugene and Athalie (Lowe) Garber and moved here 10 years ago from Largo.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Byerly of Homosassa, David Byerly of Miami and Dean Byerly of Crestview; two daughters, Sandra Mathews of Crestview and Lisa Byerly of Sebring; her mother, Athalie Garber of Lecanto; a sister, Lorraine Bledsoe of Lecanto; and 10 grandchildren.

This latter is the one disappointment to me in this collection simply because it is only the final movement; I have another Mendelssohn collection that has the entire Concerto played by Isaac Stern.
