ToxicUniverse.com - Alan Crosland - 1920 - Olive Thomas Collection, The Movies Review
Shearer is easy to spot: in a scene where all the girls are seated on a stone fence mooning over Thomas' older beau, the girl to the left of Thomas is gesticulating quite fiercely.
Shearer's sister Athole, who later married Howard Hawks and went out of her head, plays one of the other girls, and she looks exactly like Norma.
It's not that Shearer is demanding attention (except in that scene on the fence) but the fact that she is Norma Shearer compels your attention in a way that Thomas, charming as she is, just doesn't.
