Atlin is a small town on the lake of the same name in northern BC.
The Atlin Road was finished in 1949 which sustains the community as a tourist and sportsmans destination once again.
An interesting note is that the Atlin road was built by the Army Corp of Engineers and those who travel it will note their influence on some of the names.

We dined on fresh caught lake trout and in between fishing, exploring and canoeing, we activated the four islands (Teresa, Caribou, Louise and Bear) which became BC-127, 128, 129 and 130.
Don came back with "gimme a roger, you're in Atlin Lake..both boat motors dead..adrift for 3 hours..whitecaps and high winds..heavy lightning and storm fast approaching..6 on board..telephone number is....." The entire boat yelled "roger roger roger".
