  Perga
During the 8th century under Byzantine rule the city declined; in 1084 Attalia became the metropolis, and Perga rapidly fell to decay.
While Attalia was the chief Greek and Christian city of Pamphylia, Perga was the seat of the local Asiatic goddess, who corresponded to Artemis or Diana of the Ephesians, and was locally known as Leto, or the queen of Perga.
She is frequently represented on the coins as a huntress, with a bow in her hand, and with sphinxes or stags at her side.

 Sidon
At present the deserted ruins are called Eski Adalia, Old Attalia, in the sanjak of Adalia and the vilayet of Koniah.
From other documents we learn that in 1315 and for some time previous to that, Sidon had bishops of its own - the Bishop of Sinope was called to the position, but was unable to leave his own diocese; this call was repeated in 1338 and 1345.
In 1397 the diocese was united with that of Attalia; in 1400 the Metropolitan of Perge and Attalia was at the same time the administrator of Sidon.

Not to be confused with Attalia in Lydia, this city near the mouth of the Cataractes River (modern Aksu) was the chief port of Pamphylia.

Because the port at Side was still outside the boundary of his Kingdom, Attalus II, King of Pergamon (159-138 BCE) founded the new Mediterranean port at Attalia (and apparently named it after himself).

Attalia noted that exports from the least developed countries to the developed countries were declining.  The very poorest countries were exporting less than before.  It would be impossible to reach the Millennium Goals with such low performance.
Responding to a question that the NGOs were seen as part of a western alliance in the war against terror, Mr.
Attalia said that while many advocacy NGOs came from the west, all countries had advocacy NGOs which played an important role in terms of institution-producing services.  Some 90 per cent of microfinance was done by NGOs in the developing world.  NGOs were not a Trojan horse of western values.
