Tonga age grade rugby teams will be participating in regional tournament under the FORU Regional Tournament programme.
The initiative was proposed by Tonga, Fiji, and Samoa last year after several discussions with the IRB chairman in Dublin, Wellington and Auckland.

Ellis was not considered for Harbour's match against Samoa on Wednesday night and his first appearance as a member of the union will be when he plays club rugby July 18.

In 1876 rugby came to Rangitikei (at Marton, Bulls, and Sandon); to North Otago (at Oamaru); to Hawera and Patea in Taranaki; to Invercargill, Otautau, and Riverton in Southland; and to Greytown and Masterton in Wairarapa.
