		When the original TT was launched, in 1998, it broke a mold for Audi, and set the scene for a whole new direction—style.
		Anyway, the 1995 TT concept was based on the platform of the soon-to-be-launched A3, which would be a compact, Rabbit-sized front-wheel-drive hatch—but you'd have to look deep under the TT's skin to spot the resemblance.
		All the TT really had in common with A3 was its transverse front-engine layout and some off-the-shelf chassis components, but even the TT engine came from the 2005 A4 sedan, and not surprisingly the show car also proposed both quattro four-wheel drive and turbocharging.
