10/25/2006 - The College of Saint Benedict came out to prove they are deserving of a MIAC playoff bid, by defeating the University of Saint Thomas by a final score of 5-1, in St. Joseph Minnesota.
The College of Saint Benedict can still slide into the playoff picture with a victory on Saturday over MIAC champion Concordia-Moorhead combined with a loss by Augsburg, who hosts the University of Saint Thomas.
Macalester defeated the College of Saint Benedict by a final score of 3-1, extending their unbeaten streak to 40 straight games.

MINNEAPOLIS (March 4, 2006) -- Edgewood College split a doubleheader with Augsburg College, winning 6-5 in game one before suffering a 7-4 setback in game two, from the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis late Saturday night.
Edgewood (2-2) held a 4-2 lead heading into the seventh inning of game one, but the Auggies (1-1) scored three runs in the top of the seventh on three hits and took advantage of an Eagle error to go ahead of the Eagles, 5-4.
Augsburg hitters collected four hits in the frame, which led to a three-run outburst.
