		The two companies announced that their much-anticipated PC shooter, which has been in development for more than four years, would arrive in stores "this summer." An Xbox version of the game is set for release this fall.
		EB Games also has an August 3 release on its product page for the game but does not promote the date as being recently revealed.

		"Official launch date of August 3rd, 2004 confirmed!" There's no reason so far to doubt this as the release date but we're still awaiting information directly from Activision.
		Thanks to a VoodooExtreme reader for sending word that GameStop's frontpage has on it news that Doom 3 will apparently be out August 3, with a picture stating that this is the official release date.
		We'll try and get more information from id and Activision on this whether or not that is in fact the case.
