		Augustow inhabited by 30, 000 people is one of the larger cities picturesque blended into the lakes and forests of the Province.
		Augustow is the royal city with a rich history that dates back to the 16 th century.

		e stop in Augustow because I've been given an introduction to a couple who run an organization called the Campfield School of English.
		At a glance, the building that houses the school appears to be one of the most modern in town; there must be a healthy demand for English lessons.
		Note (September 10 2001): I have recently learned that the school is no longer in operation, and that the former owners no longer reside in Poland (see the next page for more info).
