The data base of TROPICOS was consulted through an assigned computer and with it the data of all the existing species of Mexico in the herbarium collections were corroborated.
Emphasis was placed on the analysis of the characteristics of certain species Aulonemia fulgor, Aulonemia clarckiae, Olmeca recta and Olmeca reflexa, these we plan to carry out more work on their taxonomic status.
Hopefully time will permit a general overhaul on all the species reported for Central America -Guatemala to Panama, where it is possible to determine whether some of them can be listed as threatened species or species at risk.
