Ault was born in Ontario in November 1851, one of seven children of a French-Canadian cloth manufacturer whose family lived in the village of Mille Roches on the St. Lawrence River.
It was an improbable dream that Ault's vision and hard work made true, because when he sold the firm a half century later for $14 million, it was the international leader in its field, with plants and operations on four continents.
Although an entrance to the park on Principio Avenue was constructed in 1914, major improvements did not occur until voter-approved bond levies in 1926 and 1927 funded roads, formal gardens, picnic grounds and an Italian Renaissance-styled pavilion - the grandest of all of Cincinnati's park buildings.

At the park, the well-marked Tree Trail begins from a service road located north of the Ault Park Pavilion.
This boulder is known as an erratic, since its mineral composition is markedly different from the surrounding limestone and shale pieces that are derived from the local bedrock.
The neutral soil's lack of alkalinity is due to the fact that much of the alkaline calcium carbonate has been washed (leached) away by stormwater percolating through the soil since the retreat of the last glacier.

Some of the flood plain sites in the Lower Grand River Valley in southern Ontario are up to ten hectares in size, but these most likely represent repeated and fairly intensive occupation over hundreds of years by relatively small groups, rather than population concentrations of hundreds of people.
Time Period: 2400 B.P. Location: Southern Ontario from London on the Thames River at the western boundary and the Grand and Nottawasaga Rivers on the east, extending north along the eastern shore of Lake Huron into the Bruce Peninsula (Figure 1).
Location: South-central Ontario, from Long Point to the Niagara Peninsula on the north shore of Lake Erie, the middle and lower drainage basin of the Grand River, and the western north shore of Lake Ontario east to the Credit River (Figure 2).

Ault, Muskoka-Parry Sound Community Mental Health Service, et al, Ontario Court of Justice (General Division), No. 93-CQ-40015.[5] In the Fall of 1997, a psychiatric malpractice suit was settled out of court in a confidential agreement to the satisfaction of the parties.
According to the Statement of Claims, Ault used the improper techniques to convince each of the plaintiffs that he or she was suffering from MPD including: providing biased reading material, using hypnosis, and encouraging attendance in group therapy for childhood abuse and MPD victims.
As a result of Ault's "manipulation, indoctrination and therapy techniques," each became convinced that he or she was suffering from MPD and had been sexually abused as a child.

Duncan Park Stadium dates back to 1926 and is the perfect example of a ballpark from that era: the wooden grandstand is topped by steel trusses and a wooden roof.
In 2000 it sued HCH Miller Park Joint Venture, the baseball stadium’s general contractor, for several million dollars over changes that allegedly were made to the amount or manner of work in the construction of the ballpark.
The parks board will later determine its support for either proposal and pass along a recommendation to the Common Council.

There were precious few professional archaeologists working in Ontario at the time, so that universities, museums, and the Ontario government often turned to the expertise of avocationals to investigate reported finds.
The 1950’s provided numerous opportunities for fieldwork, and it was in 1957 on the Ault Park site that Paul met a young Bruce Trigger, establishing a friendship which continues to this day.

Adams wrote a short article in 1979 in Arch Notes, the newsletter of the Ontario Archaeological Society, which summarized 9 sites from the Middle Woodland timeperiod which had red painted sherds in their collections.
The curator of this exhibit has seen red painted ceramics from the Ault Park site near Cornwall, the Benson site (mid 1500s) near the Trent River, and the MacLeod site (mid 1400s) in Oshawa.
Black stripes of paint have also been discovered on Ontario ceramics, although this is even more rare than red paint (see the Thompson artifacts web page for information on fl painted ceramics).
