ThothWeb - UFO’s or Top Secret Spy Planes — the Aurora Mystery
Aurora is perhaps a fitting name for a surveillance craft that travels through the sky at a cruising speed of 5,300 miles per hour, can be anywhere in the world in under 3 hours and is officially a myth.
Aurora is not a new project by any stretch of the imagination, first coming to the public’s attention twenty years ago in 1985 when it was accidentally listed in the U.S. Department of Defences budget request for the following year (1986) listed under the heading of ‘Air Breathing Reconnaissance’.
Aurora's distinctive noise pattern and bead like contrails are said to be due to the fact that it uses advanced Pulse Detonation Wave Engines for propulsion, which produces the telltale "string of beads" contrail.

Northstar: Olympic Gay Mutant Québécois Terrorist
While his sister, Aurora is a split personality, Northstar’s history is schizophrenic and really show a lack of understanding from all the authors who worked on him.
Another thing that has always bugged me about Northstar and Aurora, is that they family name “Beaubier” is not a frequent family name in Quebec.
Many have said that Marvel picked Northstar to be its official first gay super hero because he was a minor character published in a minor comic book.

 IGN: Aurora Watching Preview
Well, Metropolis Games is attempting to do just that with Aurora Watching, a salvo with surprisingly high production values, overall polish, and pretty smooth mechanics, judging by the preview build we got recently.
The look and feel of Aurora is an order of magnitude better, as though the franchise is trying to clean the slate.
Aurora seems to have all the ingredients for a leap into the big time, after a few less-than-stellar installments.

MILE HIGH COMICS presents THE BEAT at COMICON.com: Fantasy Aurora boxes   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-18)
Aurora Model kits were a great time killer before the electronic era.
Instead of developing your thumb dexterity on a game controller, you had to learn how to glue together tiny plastic parts to painstakingly complete a model of, say, Captain Action or Ilya Kuriakin.
Anyway, many people fondly remember Aurora models and their colorful boxes, including this fellow, who makes replica boxes of old favorites, and "fantasy" boxes of models hat never were, like Judy Robinson from LOST IN SPACE.

The Seattle Times: Movies: "Aurora Borealis": Veteran actors do what they can in slacker film
"Aurora Borealis," directed by veteran stage producer James Burke, seems designed to reward Jackson with his biggest adult part to date, though it doesn't give the Vancouver, B.C., native a lot to work with.
And even they can't defeat an ending so cliché-driven that everything falls neatly into place for the restless hero.
