The plan, being lobbied by the Aurora-based Multi-Sectoral Action Group (MSAG), was not feasible unless viable livelihood options were identified for thousands of residents dependent on the operations of at least nine logging companies in the province, DENR provincial director Ricardo Calderon said.
Calderon said the DENR was "very serious" in its mandate of protecting what remains of Aurora's forests.
