Indian archers -- defeated and not disgraced - Deccan Herald   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-05)
Reena did have a poor first round of 22 (6,8,6) but she came up with a superb second in which she shot 29 (10,9,10) and capped it with a round of 26 and her 77 helped India total 227.
All eyes were on Trayan who hit a decent 26 (10,9,7) in the first round and followed it up with a poor next round of 22 (10,7,5).
Trayan, however, had other plans and off her last arrow, she shot a perfect ten and that was the winner as France pipped India by a solitary point (228-227).

Indian women archers lose to France in quarters   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-05)
The Indians, who edged past Great Britain 230-228 in a closely contested pre-quarter-final earlier in the day, were done in by a poor display in the second series and the beginning of the third and last series against the French.
The Indian archers began well, establishing a two-point lead at the end of the opening series of nine arrows, to take a two-point lead, but then flip-flopped in the second series to trail the French team comprising Alexandra Fouace, Berangere Schuh and Aurore Trayan by four points.
The Indians, who had finished fifth in the ranking round, returned scores of 24, 28, 26 in the first series, but their points dropped to 24, 22 and 26 in the second.
