The Australian War Cabinet approved the formation of an Armoured Division in November 1940 and 1st Armoured Division was established on July 1, 1941 under the command of Major General John Northcott.
The formation of an armoured division involved a massive expansion of Australia's armoured forces, with the result that the great majority of the division’s officers and soldiers had to be trained from scratch in newly established armoured warfare schools.
The division was moved to the area between Perth and Geraldton, Western Australia in January 1943 where it formed part of III Corps to counter the perceived threat of a Japanese invasion of Western Australia.

There were no men by the surname of Bourne or Grose in the 10th Light Horse Regiment or 10th Infantry Battalion, that I can find, unless they were transferred, but this seems highly unlikely for 1915.
