| | Geosequestration "exposed": Australian Conservation Foundation (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08) |
 | | Canberra, 27 September, OGTThe Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) says a recent report released by the Australia Institute, an independent public policy research centre, exposes the dangers of geosequestration. |
 | | The ACF says the report, co-authored by Dr Hugh Saddler, finds that geosequestration will not be effective in reducing greenhouse pollution from the energy sector, which has increased 34% over the last decade, before 2030. |
 | | The ACF says extensive energy efficiency improvements, combined with the use of gas and renewable energy, could reduce greenhouse pollution to 2030 by more than ten times as much as geosequestration alone. |
