The Australian Pink Floyd Show, who finished their latest string of Canadian shows last Saturday, and are starting their US dates on 13th October, last week announced an update regarding their much-anticipated, forthcoming DVD.
Prior to the show I looked for the DVD of a concert that was done in Liverpool back on July 17 of this year and unfortunately found just a one page flyer there to promote this [see above for an update on this].
This was a great end to a great show, with the band thanking all for coming and their road crew, and suggested they may return one day.

The most amusing example, however, comes during the recital of "Brain Damage"; in amongst images of nuclear explosions, Margaret Thatcher and President Bush, a short clip of Dame Edna Everidge was slipped in, animating lyrics such as "the lunatic is in the hall".
Given the brevity of the "Dark Side of the Moon" album, the audience is suddenly thrown from hard hitting rock into silence, a "thanks for coming tonight" and a "see you in a bit".

I actually half-expected some inflatable kangaroos to appear, at the point where Pink Floyd uses inflatable pigs, however, this was probably above budget as the lightshow stayed as it was.
I would definitely recommend this band to anyone who likes Pink Floyd (or even people that don’t know them, as my flatmate knew none of the songs, apart from “Another brick in the wall” and he was completely blown away as well).

This is a tribute band that has David Gilmour of the real Pink Floyd as a fan, a tribute band that use authentic Pink Floyd inflatable animals in their set, and, of course, a tribute band that received the ultimate honour of being invited to play at David Gilmour’s 50th birthday party.
But that wasn’t the last of the inflatables in the show - during ‘One of These Days’ the band were joined onstage by a giant inflatable kangaroo known affectionately as ‘Skippy’, and the stage crew were obviously having fun pulling the strings to make Skippy dance.
