Australian Capital Territory is a bit of a mouthful so the state is known simply as ACT.

 Housing prices surge - smh.com.au
House prices in Australian capital cities posted their biggest annual increase in more than a decade, official figures showed today.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics' House Price Index showed established house prices jumping 17.3 per cent in the 12 months to March, the biggest annual increase since the September quarter 1989.
All capital cities posted rises in the first three months of 2002, with Brisbane recording the biggest quarterly increase (7.9 per cent) and Melbourne the lowest (0.8 per cent).
