"Australian country music is getting a decent amount of airplay, particularly on community, specialist and narrowcast radio," John said, "but we need more, especially on commercial radio and on radio in metropolitan areas.
The Toyota Country Music Awards of Australia, or Golden Guitar Awards, are staged annually in January by the CMAA in Tamworth, Country Music Capital.
