TEHRAN, July 5 (AFP) - 18h34 - Iran summoned the Austrian ambassador to the foreign ministry Tuesday in protest at charges its president-elect Mahmood Ahmadinejad was involved in the 1989 murder of an Iranian Kurdish leader in Vienna.
Austrian legal authorities said earlier Tuesday that they wanted to interview an Iranian journalist living in France who claims to have evidence that Ahmadinejad was involved in the assassination of Abdul Rahman Ghassemlou.
This was later confirmed by the Austrian interior ministry which said the documents had been passed on to the public prosecutor’s office.
