  TRACKING
Tracking plays a special and very important part in maintaining contact with the enemy, in locating their camps and hides, and in following up after a contact or an incident.
Footprints and impressions of footwear: the rhythm of the spoor or the length of stride of the quarry.
it is suggested that tracking dogs be held at a base or some central point until a call for their services is made and then taken as near as possible to the scene of the incident by transport or helicopter in order that they may arrive fresh.

The error between the tracking axis and the line-of-sight can then be sensed in magnitude and direction by causing the radar beam to be rotated rapidly about the axis of the antenna, thus producing a narrow cone of energy in space.
When the LOS and the tracking line are coincident--i.e., the target is exactly on the tracking line--successive target echoes received by the system will be of equal amplitude since the beam center is at all times equidistant from the target during each scan period.
The remainder of compensation is external to the tracking subsystem.

Automatic double tracking - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Automatic double tracking (ADT) was an electronic system designed to augment the sound of voices and instruments during the recording process.
ADT was invented specially for The Beatles on April 6, 1966 by Ken Townshend, a recording engineer employed at EMI's Abbey Road Studios, mainly at the instigation of John Lennon.
A similar technique to ADT is doubling echo, which uses short delays to mimic the doubletracking effect.

Doubletracking - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Artificial or automatic doubletracking, also known as ADT, was developed at Abbey Road Studios by engineers recording the Beatles in the 1960s.
ADT produced a unique sound, which can be imitated to a point by analog or digital delay devices (in a technique called doubling echo), but not precisely duplicated.
His post-Beatles albums frequently employed doubling echo on his vocals, in place of the ADT system the Beatles had; some critics complained that the effect made the impression that Lennon recorded all his vocals in a bathroom.

 Strawberry Fields Forever
The 4 tracks could be recorded on separately, at different times, but once the 4 tracks were filled, the only way to record more was to copy the sound to another tape reel, running it through a mixing machine so that the 4 tracks could be combined into fewer tracks on the new tape.
The track includes guide countdowns before both verses, apparently John himself marking the time to where he should start singing again; these should have been cut out of the final mix but both are audible in the mix used on the "Magical Mystery Tour" CD although the second one (last verse) is more easily heard.
The vocal track (take 26 track 4) was supposed to be silenced during the countdowns before the second and third verse, or masked by the swordmandel, but in the "German mix" neither was done and we hear the countdown (softly).

If Double Dragon weren't unresponsive enough to occasionally prevent you from placing your attacks correctly, you could fly through the game by standing in one place and jamming on the attack keys as enemies walked right into your flurries of blows, even on the hardest difficulty level.
Double Dragon's sound does the job of getting the action across, but the game could have used a few additional, varied effects--such as groans from expiring gutter trash--like in the classic version of the game.
Double Dragon looks good, but it doesn't deliver the fighting goods.

Automate dependency tracking, Part 1 - Java World
However, when dependency is tracked automatically, the program discovers new dependencies on its own at runtime, with no programmer intervention.
Automatic dependency tracking separates the information model (IM) from the UI so that the UI discovers dependencies upon the IM and automatically updates itself.
An ADT might be restrictive, represented only by a small set of values (such as an enumeration), or it may be quite general, with a large or infinite set of values (like a stack).

Sempre Double Automatic Orbita Finest Watchwinder
Sempre Double Automatic Orbita Watchwinder is the first and only winding device that will keep virtually any hand-wound mechanical watch with an accessible crown fully wound when unworn.
The winding action of an automatic differs from a hand-wound mechanical in that there is a built-in slip-clutch in the mainspring mechanism to prevent over winding rather than a finite stop as in a hand-wound.
Owners of fine hand wound or automatic mechanical watches with numerous complications will find the SEMPRE ideal for keeping their watches continuously wound and "exercised." Operating by battery, the winder can be stored in a safe for 10 to 12 months without attention.

Using “automatic double tracking” instead of playing the part twice.
It’s that popular preset in your multieffects: Automatic Double Tracking, where the processor copies your signal, delays it a bit, detunes the copy to “humanize” it, then recombines it with the straight signal.
Although ADT is a valid effect in its own right if you want a sort of more focused version of chorusing, nothing substitutes for doubling a part by actually playing it twice.

To ensure that units are correct we must track the category (length, velocity, force, and so on) to which a unit or measurement belongs.
Secondly, since doubles aren't as safe as Units variables, their scope should be limited as much as possible.

For instance, the drums had been mixed to stereo on the second generation 16 track which, owing to SQ limitations, had to be spread from left to front right, leaving bass drum and snare center front and tom toms spread in stereo across the front of the room.

These systems are based around an extremely sophisticated, yet very easy to operate tracking receiver, that is used in conjunction with a wide variety of miniature transmitters, that can typically be tracked from a distance of 2 to 25 miles on the ground (depending upon terrain), and even greater distances from the air.
With such a wide selection of transmitter sizes and types, this is without a doubt the most versatile tracking system available, and is one of the few systems that can provide tracking capability for people, motor vehicles, boats, trailers, and most other articles.
These Doppler Tracking Systems are economical and extremely effective alternatives to the more expensive and complicated GPS and Cellular Tracking Systems, and are not as susceptible to the various types of interference and loss of signal conditions as those types of tracking systems.
