This is the Avenue of the Saints into Iowa on SR 27 the entire way to I-35 near Mason City.
Actually, from the "avenue of the saints" - the old Hwy 218 around Mt. Pleasant, IA, about 35 miles north of the missouri border - there is a connection with Hwy 34 westbound that ultimately connects with Hwy 163 which runs you into Des Moines.

The Avenue of the Saints is two lanes from this point to Canton, which is about 20 miles south of here; completion of this expressway segment is scheduled for the summer of 2008.

Hwy 218/61 (Ave of Saints) is a truck route, and a two lane highway.
I used to live in the Mt. Pleasant IA area, and there were always accidents on 218.
I don't know where you are going in Missouri, but I 380 runs into hwy 218 or the Avenue of the Saints (same road) is a straight shot for you.

That number is the Avenue of the Saints: 27.
In Lee County, the four-lane Avenue of the Saints and the four-lane US 61 parallel each other less than 10 miles apart yet do not have any four-lane connection until US 34 at Mount Pleasant.
