The Avon River is a river in Western Australia.
Passing through some of the oldest settled European agricultural areas in Western Australia, the catchment area has extensive salinity issues, which have attracted governmental programmes to aleviate the loss of agricultural lands.
The Avon River Valley is the third and final route for the Eastern Railway line through the Darling Scarp between Midland and Northam, having been constructed in the 1960's.

The Avon Valley Dairy is situated 4 kilometres West of Toodyay on Sandplain Rd. We breed and milk Ayrshire cows and as it says on the bottles we pasteurise and bottle the milk here on the farm.
The dairy is a family operated business with everyone in the family involved in bringing the milk to you, from Mum (ordering everyone around), kids helping before and after school and Dad who says he does something sometimes too.
As glass milk bottles are not manufactured in Australia, we have to import ours from Smithville, Canada.
