 | | Trade axe found Ohio River, very early heavy iron felling axe, deep pitting throughout, from about 1775, heavy hickory handle has been in awhile, but not original. |
 | | Touch mark trade axe, ca 1800, brought from England, style listed many of the books, including Hartzler and Knowles, super-hard temper, chipped and cracked, this one is smaller than other trade axes made for this use, eye is still round. |
