The operator of the incinerator has been embroiled in a years-long dispute with the U.S. Navy at the nearby Atsugi Naval Air Facility over the fumes that its chimneys emit.

Tokyo (ACN Newswire) - Suntory Ltd. said it signed an agreement with Nissan Motor Co. to purchase the former Nissan plant at Ayase, in Kanagawa Prefecture, giving Suntory an important new manufacturing base close to the Tokyo metropolitan area that will raise the company's beverage production capacity by about 25 million cases.
