There is a great deal of urban life on Bangkok's network of river tributaries and canals; homes, places of trade, and floating markets – boats laden with fruit and vegetables for sale.
Ayuthaya was the former royal capital of Siam (1350–1767); its Historical Park has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The Palace was built in the mid-17th century and used by the Ayuthayan kings until the Burmese invasion of 1767.

It is not identified in the figures, but “The Jim Thompson House” is near the National Stadium.
