Ayyub is often seen as the patron saint of leprosy, syphilis, and various skin diseases in Moslem culture.

Unlike Ayyub, he dwells on the evils of Western culture, Muslim heretics, and heretical regimes (like the ‘Alawi one in Syria), thereby diminishing the demonic role of Jews and the United States; although he does accept Ayyub's idea of the dajjal as the Jewish messiah.
Reliance on Western materials creates a tension for Ayyub and his followers, who continually cite Christian texts usually considered by Muslims to have been corrupted, and are in any case abrogated by the revelation of the Qur'an in the Muslim view.
Ayyub is continually sold out in Jerusalem; Jirrar is one of the best-sellers in the West Bank, Jordan, and Lebanon.

Saladin (Salah al-Din Yusuf Ibn Ayyub)
Saladin (1138-1193) was born into a prominent Kurdish family, and it is said that on the night of his birth, his father, Najm ad-Din Ayyub, gathered his family and moved to Aleppo.
Subsequently, Saladin became vizier to the last Fatimid caliph (who died in 1171), earning him the title al-Malik al-Nasir ('the prince defender'), and therefore his relations and successors were all given this title.
It took Saladin, or more properly, Salah al-Din Yusuf Ibn Ayyub (meaning Righteousness of Faith, Joseph, Son of Job), only a few more years to became the sole master of Cairo and the first Ayyubid sultan of Egypt in 1174.

Ayyub bin Aiz's Hadith Inserted Posthumously In The Sahih Of Al-Bukhari?
Ayyub bin `A'idh is in Kitab al-Du`afa al-Saghir.
This is because in Kitab al-Du`afa al-Bukhari did not actually say that he was a weak narrator; rather he said Ayyub was accused of being a murji'ah.
The obvious conclusion is that al-Bukhari did not "reject" the traditions from Ayyub and nor were they "inserted" after his death.
