Azeroth has other gods as well, such as the goddess Elune worshiped by the night elves, the Earthmother worshiped by the tauren, and the demigod Cenarius.
Azeroth, at the time of the Legion's arrival, contained only two of the--seven, eight, or nine, depending on how you count them--races dominant today: the trolls and the elves.
Their constant use of magic and exposure to the energies of the Well of Eternity continued to mutate the Highborne, though not nearly as extremely as the transformation from troll to elf; pale skin and a tendency toward blond hair were the most conspicuous changes.

As his body was slashed and torn by the swords of Azeroth, Medivh began to transmit telepathic waves of trauma across the astral plane which easily shattered even my formidable defenses.
