| | John McCabe and Australia |
 | | John McCabe's musical links with Australia (a country which has fascinated him since childhood readings about the Burke and Wills expedition) date from his first visit, to the New England Festival in Armidale, New South Wales, in 1980, when he also gave recitals in Sydney, Brisbane, and other towns in New South Wales and Queensland. |
 | | In August 1998, John McCabe made his 8th visit to Australia, this time as a visiting lecturer in composition at the Australian National Academy of Music, Melbourne, for their Young Composer Programme. |
 | | The Australian ensemble Ku-Ring-Gai Virtuosi performed the work in Sydney on September 4th, and then in a Musica Viva tour, with performances in three further New South Wales towns: Lismore (September 9th), Wagga Wagga (September 12th), and Bateman's Bay (September 13th). |
