From 7pm, BBC local radio stations in the East share the same programme, Nick Lawrence, who broadcasts from Norwich.
The station should not be confused with the fictional BBC Radio Norwich in the television comedy series I'm Alan Partridge.

BBC London Live emerged from the South East Review in an attempt to boost audience figures, much to the chagrin of most of its existing listenership who were not impressed by the increase in phone-ins and consumer items, and the loss of many specialist music shows.
Radio Norfolk was one of the first BBC local stations to be based around a county, rather than a town or city; it was also the first to broadcast in stereo (though only to East Norfolk; the remainder of the county had to wait until 2005 for stereo broadcasts).

On return to civilian life in March, 1991 he was offered a daily late afternoon show for BBC Radio Sheffield which he presented throughout the year.
His programmes were broadcast nightly on BBC Radios Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire (3CR), Northampton, Peterborough and Cambridge.

Joining 'pirate' Radio London in 1966 until rejoining the BBC in the Summer of 1967, broadcasting for the Light Programme shows 'Saturday Club', 'Swingalong' 'What's New', 'Housewive's Choice' and 'Pop Inn'.
He became the resident compere of 'Saturday Club' with the launch of Radio 1 on September 30th 1967, and was the second pop D.J. to be heard on the new station.

A new radio show for travellers and gypsies in the East of England was launched by the BBC this weekend.
Rokker Radio (Sundays 1800-2000 UTC) is presented by Jake Bowers, Britain’s only Romany journalist, and is a weekly radio show broadcast across six local radio stations in the BBC East region.
Jake started working for the BBC a few months ago when he launched Rokker Radio (the Romany term for Talk Radio) on BBC Three Counties Radio, broadcasting across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghashire.

He told reporters that the remarks were an "insult" to people with Type 1 diabetes and their families, as well as the people of Norfolk, and that there was no suggestion that this was the case.
