Bersa has, for several years now, made what I call a real "sleeper" in the auto pistol market.
The Bersa has a hammer drop thumb safety that blocks the firing pin and also a magazine safety to prevent accidental firing with the magazine removed from the gun.
The Bersa handles recoil well, due to the shape and texture of the grip panels and grooved front and rear surfaces of the frame.
A little over a year ago, I was looking at the Bersa firearms display at the 2005 Shot Show, when a prototype of their new Thunder380 Concealed Carry pistol was shown to me, and I immediately began my relentless pursuit to get one.
The Thunder380 CC is equipped with Bersa's key-locking mechanism.
Bersa'sThunder380 CC is a fine successor to one of our favorite carry pistols, the original Thunder380, and should prove to be even more popular.
The clerk told me that Bersa has been in the business for about 40 years, and while most of their models are imitations of better-known pistols, they produce well made guns.
The Bersa Thunder.380 is similar to the Walther PPK/S, including a seven round magazine with a plastic floor plate extension.
In conclusion, I have found the Bersa Thunder.380 to be an excellent alternative for anyone who cannot afford, or cannot locate, a better known concealed carry pistol (such as a Walther or SIG).
We here at Bersa Pistols.com specialize in Bersahandguns, Bersa magazines, holsters for your Bersa, as well as a wide range of items guaranteed to meet you shooting needs.
The feed angle of the Bersa Thunder.380 is almost straight in, and enables the weapon to feed the best hollow point ammo available.
The Bersa Thunder.380 is a reliable auto pistol with great ergonomics, controllable power, a perfect trigger pull, and an exceptional price.
The BersaThunder is the latest incantation of the company's.380 ACP pistol and is quickly gaining strong support among shooters as well.
The Bersa's are attached with a single screw on each while the Makarov's is a one piece affair attached on the rear grip strap with a single screw.
The Bersa has a more generous tang at the rear of the slide to prevent hammer bite, but the Makarov has sufficient and being bit by either is not a problem.
The bersathunder380 review nearly straight-in alignment of the chamber and the topmost cartridge in the loaded magazine seems to be responsible for the pistol's reliable chambering and cycling during use.
Separately, the cost of additional factory magazines bersathunder380 for youth holster for bersathunder380 is higher than one might expect, and no third party manufacturers have yet successfully marketed dependable alternatives.
There is, of course, this certain perception clip for bersathunder380 among many pistol users (particularly in the United States, the Philippines, and elsewhere) that a.380 ACP cartridge is not powerful enough to provide dependable bersathunder380 duo-tone and timely neutralization of an assailant.

Preceded by the BERSA Modelo 383 SA, Modelo 383 DA, Modelo 83 and Series 95, the Thunder380 is part of the BERSA product lineup that also involves the Thunder 22, Thunder 22-6, Thunder 32, Thunder380 Super, Thunder 9, Mini Thunder 9, Mini Thunder 40, and Mini Thunder 45.
A further-lightened variant of the Thunder380 called the 'Concealed Carry' model has been slated for a 2005 release by BERSA in the United States.
The Thunder380 has a light aluminium alloy frame that reduces weight for easier carry, and yet the pistol still retains enough mass to help tame recoil.
The little Bersa sports a dual-action trigger that allows the first shot from a magazine to be delivered double-action with the subsequent shots going single-action.
Additional magazines are available for a MSRP of $33.95 and Bersa also offers a Thunder380 Plus, 9 round magazine for $47.95.
Because the Bersa and similar arms aren't designed as long range target rigs and most confrontations occur at the proverbial 7-10 yards, we elected to run this arm indoors at 10 yards for the entire session.
One of them is Bersa, which is the brand name for a South American company.
Yesterday I had an oppurtunity to try out the Bersa Thunder.380, a small pocket pistol that very closely resembles the Walther PPK.
The grip was comfortable, with an oversized beavertail along the back to protect the hand from the recoiling slide.

Your position and impression of the BersaThunder380pistol is duly noted.
Your opinion of the Bersa is well known but please allow the owners that like their Bersa the chance to talk about it without being condemned for owning one.
My bersa is the first pistol I bought when I was 21 and now 8 years later it still shoots very well.

In any case, the main reason Im shooting a Bersa instead of the Walther I once had is that the Walthers slide bit my hand every time I fired the thing while the Bersas doesn t.
Bersa makes the.380 Firestorm, which appears identical to the Thunder380Bersa sells under its own name.
Bersa also makes the 9mm,.40, and.45 Firestorm Minis, which are marked with Firestorm on the left side of the slide and Bersa markings on the right.
.380 is a mild caliber, and the gun was controllable and not at all unpleasant to shoot, but a better grip shape would make the gun more user-friendly.
I bought the bersaThunder380 in nickle and the only thing I do not like about it, is it has almost no custom parts besides grips and mags.
The Bersa is a joy to shoot and is pretty accurate and the recoil is nil to me. The P3AT hides well and beats a.25 for power in the same or smaller package.

While the Bersa is a DA/SA,first pull a little long but easy, then rest short and sweet.
Bersa is a much better gun out of the box, with lighter and smoother trigger pull.
I also have had good luck with my Bersa's(Thunder 380 and 9) although the 9 may have to get a new barrel because of the nickel finish is peeling.
The BersaThunder380 is a very reliable and accurate weapon, one of the better values out there.
Just in case you've never heard of the Firestorm 380, it's the exact same gun as the Bersa380 except the Firestorm has i) a fixed instead of adjustable rear sight, ii) Hogue-like finger groove rubber grips, and iii) a smooth trigger guard.
BersaThunder Plus should be in stores shortly a 15 shot high cap.
I decided on the BersaThunder380 for a first handgun purchase after receiving very good advice from THR members, steering me away from a certain other handgun.
I and my wife now seem to be able to do that sort of thing reliably with this pistol, and on that count alone the BersaThunder is a very satisfying purchase, and the choice of.380 ACP seems justified.
When the gun-ban is lifted in mid-June, you can bet taht I'll be taking my Thunder380 to the range a LOT more often, to make up for lost time, and maybe I'll also be buying a different pistol to try out.

One of the really great bargains in a compact.380 pistol, the Thunder380 is one of several marketed by Bersa USA through Eagle Imports.
Bersa Arms of Argentina has been around four decades and their guns have come to be regarded as reliable self-defense and backup firearms by both civilians and law enforcement pros.
Bersa 380's hand "feel" is as good or better without it.
Bersa has them all now and it's just a matter of time before I own the.22, 9mm and perhaps the.40 and.45.
The Bersa is a great gun, that was my choice for my daughter when she decided to carry.
The Bersa was by far the best for me: more reliable than the Walther or Colts I had; accurate; ergonomically great for me. It was about half the cost of of the others and I'd still get the Bersa even if cost were the same.
