	British Forces Post Office
		Postal rates from BFPOs in Germany to UK and vice versa are generally the same as UK inland rates.
		BFPO staff can advice you of the current rates for all air and surface destinations worldwide.
		The message is then transmitted electronically to the BFPO in the theatre of operations, automatically enveloped and delivered via the normal postal method.

	Science Fair Projects - British Forces Post Office
		BFPO addresses are used for the delivery of mail in the UK and around the world.
		Until the handover of Hong Kong to China in 1997, BFPO 1 was the address for British forces serving in the former colony.
		In order to speed up the delivery from HM Forces, the BFPO has developed a hybrid form of mail, known as 'Bluey', in which letters can be sent directly by e-mail to the BFPO, and then dispatched to the recipient via the traditional postal system.

		Today the BFPO have, in line with civilians, developed a much more effective practice, which means troops in the field are able to receive mail within 24 hours of it being posted in the UK.
		By using the BFPO website, soldiers or civilians are able to register and send electronic letters, via a satellite in Texas, direct to the Forces Postal Service in the field, where the letter is then downloaded, printed, folded and finally delivered to the recipient.
		Staff at BFPO can currently expect to receive as much as 10 tonnes of mail a day for Iraq alone, with quantities expected to rise as more troops are sent abroad and action starts to take place.
