	SACD News: BIS Records Release Discs of JS Bach and Ge Gan-ru [HFR]
		There are two new classical SACD titles from BIS Records this month, the Chinese Rhapsody by Ge Gan-ru, performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and conducted by José Serebrier, together with a set of five (non-hybrid) discs of the organ music of J. Bach, performed by Hans Fagius.
		Having previously released recordings of works by Chinese-American composers such as Zhou Long, Chen Yi and Bright Sheng, BIS is proud to present the first disc of music by Ge Gan-ru, born in Shanghai in 1954, but living in the US since 1983.
		This the first recording of the music of Ge Gan-ru has been entrusted to conductor José Serebrier (whose latest BIS release, Carmen Symphony, earned him a Latin Grammy Award in 2004) and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, whose series of Rachmaninov’s symphonies for BIS has been highly praised.

		While working on the piece, BIS producer Robert von Bahr listened by accident and when he heard what was later to become "Mandrake in the Corner", he got so enthusiastic that he expressed wishes to start an extensive recording project with Lindberg as composer.
		Since then, the first portrait CD with Christian´s music has been released on BIS which was a huge success internationally, and in France one major critic rejoiced at finding such good taste in musical invention and called Christian one of the strongest forces in the musical evolution.
		Today Christian is overloaded with commissions keeping his composing diary full up to 2009, and BIS is in full progress with a third portrait CD with Christian as composer.

		Recording is excellent, with separation of the sound field wide and encompassing.
