BMW had these films made for commercial reasons of course, and although their cars play an important role in all the films, these shorts easily rise above the level of commercials.
Most of the stories in the films revolve around some sort of chase or race, and as a result the some of them feel a bit too similar.
Surprisingly enough Tony Scott's film about James Brown wanting to renegotiate his contract with the devil is one of the better films of the series.

Goofs: Continuity: When the BMW M5 makes the final handbrake turn it has four tailpipes in the beginning of the turn, but clearly only two right before it stops.
The other films (with the exception of Tony Scott's 'Beat The Devil') failed because they were either straight dramas or straight action flicks.
I'm sure these discs (available solely to BMW owners) will be fetching hefty sums of money on E-bay one day.
