| | ADASS'98: BOF's |
 | | Attendees interested in IRAF are encouraged to stop by the IRAF Demo booth (D8) to learn about the latest IRAF developments and to chat with developers. |
 | | This BOF will try to introduce Linux to new users, discuss topics of interest to advanced users, and cover special topics such as security, laptop-specific issues, applications of interest to the astronomical community, and pointers for users dealing with Linux for the first time. |
 | | Topics of interest include specific efforts to address this problem, e.g., the recent Astrobrowse initiative, lessons to be learned for other disciplines, notably the library community, and the impact that new technologies like XML may have. |
