  BSOD [rec.humor.funny]

Graphics and multimedia content can now be incorporated into the screen, making the BSOD the perfect conduit for delivering product information and entertainment to Windows users.
The BSOD is by far the most recognized feature of the Windows operating system, and as a result, Microsoft has historically insisted on total control over its look and feel.

Blue screen of death - Uncyclopedia
BSoD was being phased out in favor of Windows 2000's newly packaged game: Security Flaws, and Windows XP's blockbuster sequel Click the X on the speech bubble that comes out of the Start Bar.
Upon winning, BSoD players are expected to make the customary chant "Shit!" before staring at the screen with their head in their hands and try to remember the last time they saved.
More rambunctious players (known as "BSoD hooligans" in the UK) have been known to smash their monitors and computer cases in misdirected excitement.

BBspot - Microsoft Announces Ads for BSOD
The screen, displayed whenever Windows cannot recover from an error in the operating system's core, until now has historically served as a display of unintelligible diagnostic data that has not made any sense to anyone, ever, according to a survey conducted by the Gartner Group.
In addition, the BSOD has scared most users because it was composed mainly of hexadecimal digits that, which in extreme cases, can lead to hallucinations, epileptic seizures and homosexuality in primates and rats.
For earlier versions of Windows, the BSOD ads will be installed using the Windows Update feature.

 BlueScreen Screen Saver v3.2
Bluescreen is a screen saver that not only authentically mimics a BSOD, but will simulate startup screens seen during a system boot.
Virtually all the information shown on Bluescreen's BSOD and system start screen is obtained from your system configuration - its accuracy will fool even advanced NT developers.
For example, the NT build number, processor revision, loaded drivers and addresses, disk drive characteristics, and memory size are all taken from the system Bluescreen is running on.

I have looked for answers to this problem before posting here, so I did run diagnostics soft from a bootable CD and there is no indication at all that it is a HW problem.
