busa pistons are 81mm, so unless you bore your 1127 they wont fit.
Guess if the busa rods will fit, that would be the best way to go, as you could then "tune" the compression ratio by how thick you have the spacer made.
You would'nt wanna run Busa pistons unless you were going Turbo as you have mentioned the big drop in compression.

Apart from a couple of Oxbridge events British university sport is not followed by the general public, so the BUSA has a much lower profile in the British sporting scene than the NCAA has in the United States, although BUSA is trying to change this.

The BUSA Rowing Regatta entry has grown rapidly since the student event was separated from its original host Regatta, Nottingham City, where until 1993 the UAU Regatta was allocated a two-hour slot in the Notts City racing programme.
The BUSA Regatta has also not provided equitable events for Men and Women, and in line with NGB policy we will be adding Womens Championship Coxless Fours to the schedule this year.

Brunel’s first BUSA (British Universities Sports Association) title of the year was won by 17-year-old Ervis Jegeni, whose 116kg (18.5 stone) frame is perfect for the Super Heavyweight Championship.
Ervis, who is studying a foundation course in business management and intends to study Sport Sciences at Brunel next year, now has his sights set on emulating Brunel graduate Audley Harrison, who took a gold medal in the Super Heavyweight Boxing competition at the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000.

The University of Bath won all three team awards at the BUSA Swimming Short Course Championships held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield at the weekend, ending the domination in the pool which has stretched back to the last century.

The BUSA website is quite poor in information on this this.

Dave - I think for men the standard for getting a BUSA entry is supposed to be fairly high (sub 2.45), although I know they can be flexible.
The forms are for both people who are stupidly fast enough to get a guaranteed place through BUSA, and those of us who are just signing up (for free) from holding our own places.
Wirral Dave - the BUSA qualifying times are the same as the AAAs of England championship qualifying times - so no extra places for students at all.

 Brunel Lecturer appointed vice-president of BUSA
A Brunel University lecturer has been appointed vice-president of the British Universities Sports Association (BUSA) for his contribution to student sport.
A lecturer in the university's sport sciences department, Bob Chappell, a basketball coach and manager, of Queensmead Avenue, Ewell, Surrey, has been involved in five world university games, and has managed the English Universities men's basketball team since 1990.
He was assistant coach to the Great Britain men's basketball team at the World University Games in Zagreb, 1987; Duisberg, 1989, and manager in Sicily, 1997; Palma, 1999, and Beijing, 2001; he also managed the England U23 in the 1998 Home Counties Tournament.
