There are plenty of good songs on Babes in Arms as well though and it is by no means a bad album, it simply should not take precedence over the group's "big three" if one is planning on buying an MC5 CD.
Babes in Arms is certainly good, and I enjoyed it immensely, but while the MC5 is easily a great band, Babes in Arms just isn't a great album.

production of Rodgers and Hart's Babes in Arms is a pleasant outing featuring one of Broadway's most memorable scores but, due to poor pacing and a few misconceived performances, the evening is a bit lackluster.
The musical that's responsible for the "Let's put on a show in the barn" cliché, Babes In Arms -- a spirited story of young performers who want to bring their revue to Broadway -- is full of Rodgers and Hart tunes that have now become standards.
This production of Babes In Arms is diverting but misses the magic of the score itself, and that's too bad.
