Yes, it is the end of summer when studios dump their cinematic excrement onto the unsuspecting public, but this was an especially bad week that yield this piece of junk and Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid.
Baby Geniuses was bad enough to be offensive, and one can argue that people actually lose brain cells by watching it.
Kahuna, a legendary baby, well, more of a toddler, is fighting against Bill Biscane (Jon Voight, The Manchurian Candidate, Holes), who wants to use television ton control the minds of babies everywhere.

BABY GENIUSES movie review (with photos and clips where possible)
Not only are the poor kids in Baby Geniuses digitally manipulated to move and speak in unnatural ways, they are cast in a story that makes less sense than the fleeting seconds of actual baby talk allowed on screen.
The plot, for lack of a better word, is based on the notion that babies are born with total comprehension of the secrets of creation, which they lose when they learn to speak.
One of the babies is the twin of a boy adopted by a good scientist (Peter MacNicol) who is trying to do the same thing.

Description: All babies are born knowing the "secrets of the universe" and with the ability to speak with each other.
But when babies reach two years old and begin to speak our language in full sentences, they "cross over"-- forgetting their secret language and becoming "one of us." In BABY GENIUSES, Dr. Elena Kinder is an intelligent, scheming and wildly ambitious woman.
Sly organizes the babies in the outside world to invade the secret lab in order to free the baby geniuses and bring down Dr. Kinder's evil empire.

 SPLICEDwire: "Baby Geniuses" review
Exactly what she plans to do with these baby geniuses when she figures out how they tick isn't quite clear, except that she wants to make a mint selling her sterile, industrial-military child-rearing techniques.
The plot revolves around twin babies Sly and Whit, one of whom is being raised in the lab (but escapes, of course) while the other grows up in the "normal" environment of an over-run day-care center operated by Turner's unsuspecting, well-adjusted niece and her child psychologist husband (Kim Catrall and Peter MacNicol).
An embarrassment from start to finish "Baby Geniuses" is little more than a predictable progression of under-rehearsed and unoriginal, idiotic stock scenes age-adjusted for the baby theme, and the writing couldn't be sloppier.

Certain children are born geniuses - prodigies born with the wisdom of the ages, passed down from generation to generation, genetically imprinted on their DNA.
The downside to the discovery is that at about the age of two, when they begin to speak our language in complete sentences, these kids lose their extraordinary intelligence as they "cross over" and begin to communicate with adults.
A two-year old baby, appropriately named Sly, has escaped from her secret lab and is dangerously close to blowing the whistle on Dr. Kinder's unethical methods of research and her plans for world domination.

"Baby Geniuses" was undoubtedly a dead-zone from the first moment it entertained the thoughts of filmmakers, and thus, by the time the "Home Alone" physical humor arrives, it inflicts such tremendous affliction that you'd rather have diaper rash.
Babies are made out to be incredibly wise individuals who know practically everything while in infancy, and once they reach age two, they just cross over to normal humanity and never remember what they were able to do during their first years of life.

 BABY GENIUSES
Comedy: In a world where infants are inherent geniuses and speak with a language of their own, a two-year-old attempts to blow the cover of a corrupt corporation that's trying to mine the infants' intelligence for its own good.
Being the scheming and ambitious villains that they are, Kinder and Heep want to tap this intelligence for their own good, but have yet to break the infants' gobbledygook language that's actually quite sophisticated and intelligently understood among all kids under the age of two.
Some slapstick style violence also occurs (babies punching people, etc...) and a few of the chase/fight scenes -- as well as the material involving adults trying to nab/adduct the toddlers -- may be suspenseful/scary to younger kids, but that's clearly dependent on their age and tolerance for such material.

The problems start with the villain, Biscane, who is (literally) a Nazi, but nobody seems to notice, despite the fact that he is still wearing everything except his swastika.
Then there are the babies (toddlers) who couldn't reinforce ethnic and racial stereotypes any more if they'd been created by, well, Biscane himself.
This is overlooking the smaller flaws, like how well-versed in clichés the toddlers are, or the fact they never wear pants (or, apparently, have to have their diapers changed).

This article is intended to help parents better understand what the studies of infant brain development tell us about the needs of babies and the related components of quality childcare.
While the studies also discuss specifics like early windows of opportunity for learning things like foreign languages, the overall focus is that a child thrives when he is loved, held, read to, played with and allowed to explore.
The guidelines that conscientious parents use to identify high quality childcare also ensure that their children receive attention, love and appropriate stimulation.
