	Bacalar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Bacalar is a town in the Quintana Roo state of Mexico, about 40 km north of Chetumal, at 18.67°N, 88.38°W. In 2003 the town had a population of about 10,400 people.
		Bacalar is also the name of the lake or lagoon on the east side of the town.
		Bacalar was a city of the Maya civilization in Pre-Columbian times.
