Bacoor police chief Mario Reyes said the shootout was triggered by the showdown late Monday night between the Alert Security Agency and rival COC Arieta Group that was guarding a nearby subdivision.
Moral said, even Bacoor policemen found it impossible in the first two hours to contain the crisis, knowing they are outnumbered.

An outbreak of typhoid fever in a subdivision in Bacoor, Cavite, believed to have been caused by the contamination of the community’s water supply, has stricken close to 1,000 residents, health authorities said on Thursday.
The Bacoor Health Office reported that from December 4 to 23, 282 residents from the Mary Homes Subdivision in Barangay Molino, Bacoor, suffered from typhoid fever.
Because there were only few cases of typhoid fever in the Bacoor during the same period last year, health authorities are declaring an outbreak of the disease this time.
