		As buddy movies go, the Lethal Weapon movies may garner the majority of the attention from the last decade, but neither Lethal Weapon nor anything else in recent years can come close to the pairing of Martin Lawrence and Will Smith in Bad Boys.
		Bad Boys is set in Miami, where two local cops, Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) and Mike Lowrey (Smith), fresh off a "career drug bust," are pushed back onto the front lines when the heroin they recently impounded turns up missing again.
		Bad Boys features some of the best one-liners ever, delivered in the same rapid-fire fashion as the action which rushes across the screen.

		You might even have considered watching the movie, if and when the mood to see a popcorn-flick instills, expecting to see nothing more than cool action scenes suspended on a typical action movie plot; kind of like in the first Bad Boys movie.

		Towards the beginning of this movie our intrepid heroes are trying to save Sydney, a DEA agent (who just happens to be the New York-based sister of one of the Miami cops - don't ask) from a pursuing gang of Haitian thugs.
		The climax to the movie, though staged excellently and followed with another thrill a minute chase, this time down a small mountain, is so improbable, but oh so exciting.
		Everything about Bad boys 2 was action packed, it was fun to see in the theaters when it first came out.

		Bad Boys II is jammed-packed with car chases, a KKK rally, gun shootouts, corpses, sexual situations involving rats, homosexual conversations, porn, severed fingers and heads, bloody limbs, exploding houses and people, female nudity, and Lawrence in a ludicrous and pointless sequence in which he accidentally takes some Ecstasy.
		Too bad they couldn't have had this banter with someone other than a child, because it was completely inappropriate, random, and embarrassing.

		These were in the days when I had time to look up movie buzz and I had heard that Smith and Lawrence were doing a movie with their take on the cop buddy genre.
		This movie also has Ed Harris playing the role of an anguished US general who spends the whole movie giving the look of, "What have I done?" but his backstory is really compelling and really makes him sympathetic to viewers.
		I always like movies that toss that bone to the viewer about what happens after the main story, it gives you the heads up, that hey, the character made out ok after all.
